IC ini adalah jenis IC op AMP yang umum digunakan untuk membuat tone control. Terutama menggunakan sistem tegangan simetris. IC ini memiliki penguatan sinyal lebih baik dari transistor. Namun memiliki kelemahan mudahnya gangguan audio jika tegangan maupun komponen pendukung salah dalam penerapannya. Cara Membuat rangkaian filter subwoofer sederhana Rangkaian ini bisa ditambahkan pada tone kontrol yang sudah ada. Apabila tidak ingin suara terpengaruh oleh volume pada tone kontrol utama bisa ditambahkan resistor 22k pada output filter subwoofer dan pada bagian output tone control sebelum masuk ke power amplifier. Jika menginginkan frekuensi lebih rendah pada kapasitor hijau 104j diganti dengan ukuran 224j. Suara yang dihasilkan lebih sub, namun jika terjadi gangguan hum lebih baik diganti lagi pada versi standarnya. Kelemahan lain jika diganti kapasitor lebih besar ialah gerakan speaker lebih liar karena frekuensi 20 hz akan bisa keluar.
